Hannah H. Wheeler
About
Hannah Harris Wheeler is a lifelong resident of Augusta County, Virginia, and a proud graduate of Riverheads High School in 2013. She earned her degrees in Business Administration and Accounting from Ferrum College in 2017, graduating summa cum laude as a member of the Boone Honors Program. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Liberty University School of Law in 2020.
While in law school, Hannah distinguished herself as Articles and Book Editor for the Liberty Law Review, competed on the Top Gun Trial Team, chaired the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, and gained hands-on experience through the Legal Aid Clinic.
After passing the Virginia Bar in 2020, Hannah began her legal career in private practice before serving as Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney starting in 2021. There, she prosecuted a broad range of cases—including intimate partner violence, fraud, and juvenile matters—earning a
reputation as a relentless, well-prepared courtroom advocate who does not back down. She is a certified Guardian ad litem for children and is deeply committed to protecting their best interests.
Hannah now practices family law with Tucker Griffin Barnes P.C. in the firm’s Staunton office. She delivers strategic, assertive representation and is known for her direct approach, commanding courtroom presence, and her willingness to fight for her clients when it matters most.
Hannah lives in the Shenandoah Valley with her husband, Shane, their son, Aiden, and their three dogs. Outside the courtroom, she is a devoted New York Yankees fan—never shy about cheering (or yelling) at the screen, just as her late grandfather, Larry Harris, taught her.
